Americans are paying more attention to the dirty deeds at Planned Parenthood than ever before now that the abortion business has been caught twice selling the body parts of aborted babies. Included in that additional attention is a concern about corporate contributions by large companies and organizations to the abortion giant.
As LifeNews reported yesterday, three such companies have indicated they no longer donate to Planned Parenthood after they had been listed on both Planned Parenthood’s web site as corporate funders and pro-life lists of companies that support Planned Parenthood. Those included Coca-Cola, Xerox and Ford Motor Company.

Now, another company and a large nonprofit group are joining the list — saying they last donated to Planned Parenthood many years ago and no longer do so: American Express and the American Cancer Society.
Officials with both companies contacted the Daily Signal and told the publication about the cessation of donations to Planned Parenthood:
American Express: “American Express last contributed to two Planned Parenthood community projects more than fifteen years ago. One project provided services to teens such as computer workshops, job preparation, mentoring, recreation and counseling. The other supported adult volunteers working with at-risk adolescents in a local school district.”
The American Cancer Society: “The American Cancer Society does not fund grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates. We have previously funded a very limited number of cancer control grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates to implement cancer control programs, such as training clinic staff to screen patients for smoking, providing patients the benefits of quitting smoking, and referring patients to a toll-free smoking cessation helpline. These grants expired several years ago. The American Cancer Society does not fund—nor has it ever funded—abortion or contraceptive counseling.”
This latest development comes in the wake of two undercover videos that showed Planned Parenthood executives talking about the sale of fetal body parts. Planned Parenthood is facing both federal and state investigations—and the possibility of losing taxpayer funding.

Here’s what the other companies had to say:
* A representative from Coca-Cola confirmed for The Daily Signal the company does not contribute to Planned Parenthood, nor does it match employee contributions to the organization.
* “We are making sure that Ford Motor Company is not listed as a Planned Parenthood contributor on their website,” a representative from Ford told The Daily Signal. “In addition, we do not offer an employee match for charitable contributions,” the Ford representative said. It has been at least 10 years since Ford stopped matching employee gift contributions, the representative added.
* Similarly, Xerox was listed on the Planned Parenthood website and has said it also does not donate in any way. “We checked our files for the last 20 years and have no record of Xerox Corp. contributing to Planned Parenthood,” a representative from Xerox told The Daily Signal.
By Wednesday afternoon, Planned Parenthood had removed Xerox from its list of companies that match gifts to the organization. By Thursday morning, Planned Parenthood removed every company name listed as a donor.
I wonder about Nike and Microsoft.

So the list of donors to PP was actually a lie it seems. Coke, Xerox, Ford, Amex, American Cancer Society, actually have not been active donors for some time,,yet PP had them on a donor list?
What a freaking den of vipers and liars at PP!
This is new. I think they have a hunch about what’s coming next.
They managed somehow to combine the astoundingly ghoulish with the jaw-dropping crass: “We’re not making any money” but that isn’t working?

It looks more like PP wanted the names as endorsements. And was not afraid to lie about it.
In the meantime, the FRC breathlessly reported all these donors on Facebook as though PP was telling the truth. They got their honesty handed to them on Ford.
Lesson for Christians — don’t take the wicked at face value even if you are (actually, ESPECIALLY if you are) looking for someone to punish.
What about Exxon Mobile? It can’t be hard to get them to stop matching donations...
I wonder if it is not big corporations back tracking.
Certainly someone in the PR department would have notice the name of their corporation on a PP donor list.
THO ... it’s hard to imagine these companies, vast as they are, and as protective of their reputations as they are, never had it brought to their attention that they’re listed as PP donors... and never did anything about it before the release of these videos.
They’re used to being lied about and know that protesting certain targets will be counterproductive. That does not make it right.
How hard is it to verify actual facts. People seem to love to sling accusations, yet come up with every excuse in the book when the same is slung back at them.
I wonder if they declare the income from the illegal organ sales as Unrelated Business Income?
Can someone in all this time dig up the law that forbids this, yes I know law is quaint and widely disobeyed, but somehow in all this brouhaha I never see anything like State Statute XYZ in state ABC forbids the sale of abortion remains. Why, why, why. We can argue it ought to, but it’s easy enough to see a loophole that nobody bothered with until recently.

I’m not surprised, it was a PR move to make it seem like everyone is one their side, that it was “settled”. They do this with global warming, gay marriage, and essentially every other issues, lie to make it seem like it’s more popular than it actually is so “you better get with the times”.
They would have to declare the proceeds as Unrelated Business Taxable Income or admit that they were in the body parts selling business which is illegal.
As of when? Yesterday or today?
