Why is Turkey bombing the Kurds in Iraq?
Because they really hate Kurdish nationalists.
Mullah Obama says it’s okay.
The Kurds want (and IMHO, deserve) and indpendent homeland. Unfortunately, some Kurds want that homeland to include the eastern part of present-day Turkey.
So here's what we've got.
The Kurds hate ISIS.
The Turks hate the Kurds.
The Turks are reluctant to hit ISIS, because ISIS is fighting the Kurds.
The US should be supporting the Kurds. But that would offend NATO ally Turkey.
Obama's solution: Don't offend the Turks. Let the Kurds, and the Christian minorities in the area, fend as best they can against ISIS. Go golfing.
The Kurds were complaining that Emperor Zero had not given them US weapons. So he decided to run those weapons through the Turks.
