Seems pretty clear you’re correct. The Turks have minor beefs with IS and big, historic hatred of Kurds. Such are our “friends”.
What’s happening is that the Kurds are gaining the upper hand in the border regions between Turkey and the areas (previously) controlled by the Islamic State (IS). Once that process would be completely accomplished by the Kurds, then the LUCRATIVE sale of oil by the IS at bargain basement prices to Turks (with Turkish government connections/approval) would largely come to an end. Ending with that trade would be the huge profits being realized by the Turks and a major means of financing for the IS. It also closes the easiest manner that new IS recruits can enter IS territory. All these consequences are bad from the perspective of the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated/infested Obama regime leadership.
