It’s neither. Cruz has made these identical allegations many times before— listen to his floor speech on CrOmnibus- where he accused lame-duck congressmen of loading up the budget as graft for lobbyists, just so those exiting congressman could then get jobs with these lobbying firms.

Today, with a procedural maneuver, McConnell blocked conservatives from filing amendments to the Highway Bill (defund Planned Parenthood; reject Iran deal; defund Obamacare; mandatory 5 year sentence for deported illegal re-entering the country)

If was simply the last straw for Cruz- he was incensed.

I don’t see how anyone would give credit to Trump. Ted has been standing up to these frauds since he started running for Senate.

It shows the complete and utter ignorance of those who say it. Ted Cruz has a history of standing against the establishment going back to before he was ever on the national stage.
