Suppose he becomes POTUS? How is he going to handle McConnell?

I’m not saying I disagree with calling a spade a spade, but seems like it will bring some issues that I imagine Cruz has weighed.

I think a President Cruz would be lobbying for new Senate leadership. At the rate McConnell is going, the Republicans are going to lose their majority anyway.

As president (defacto head of the party) he can have him removed quietly.

McConnell has gotten away with bring Obama’s bagman while being from a conservative state. Now maybe his constituents will wake up.

I good POTUS would try to build his own coalition in Congress. Including behind the scenes support for Congressional Leadership posts.

A big Wednesday night Kitchen poker game a mix of both party congress critters and Viola! You’ve just created a kitchen cabinet, Super congress committee, and a direct feed into Congress that bypasses disloyal or malcontent party leaders.

That would suck the wind out of the sails of the congressional leadership.
