Sometime watch on YouTube Burdon’s version of Tobacco Road, with the new Animals. It’s from German TV, I think. That was just before the War days.

True. Watch people come into a restaurant these days, sit down and all pull out their phones.

There was a lot of variety in music between 1964 and 1985. You’d have people like the Stones and Beach Boys and Dean Martin and Sinatra and The Monkees and the Mamas and the Papas all on the charts at the same time. Now it’s divas and rap.

Speaking of Grunge, "Weird Al" Yankovich
nails this parody of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.

have two 4 y/o grand-daughters - I’m WELL aware of Nick Jr. and Dora, Bubble Guppies, Berenstein Bears, etc.
I almost know the words from all the theme songs too :)
I have learned to enjoy Barney and spongebob...they can take away the stress of the day

RE:”
The channel should change its name. It doesnt play music anymore. How about Stupid reality shows for pathetic fame whores TV? No resemblance to the MTV of the early 1980s whose first music video they played was the Buggle’s ‘Video killed the radio Star’ (quite prescient) and ran commercials on broadcast TV saying “Call your cable provider and tell them ‘I want my MTV’”And came up with the term VJ to replace DJ
Cute little sweet-heart girl next-door VJ Martha Quinn was a heart breaker....(no tattoos)
I was in college at the time and they kept MTV on the Student Union Lounge’s big screen TV. I always had it on while studying,
Now MTV is just perversion and victim politics. PVTV Just Sickening how our society has decayed. .

They should change the meaning of the “m” to “maccaca”.

I have learned to enjoy Barney and spongebob
Many moons ago when my kids were young, we'd sit and watch Sesame Street on Sunday mornings.
Thirty minutes later I'd realize my kids were long gone and I was still watching.
The Count was always my favorite :)
