One article said the plastic was a liner from the garbage can in the cell.
True. Sounds like amateur hour for the local police force, and perhaps no cavity search, although she had been there for three days before she died. Also appears they let her have her mobile phone in the cell with her, at least at some point.
They're saying it was while in jail. She was there for three days.

Thanks. I had wondered why she was still in jail and not able to post bond.
Could be (pure speculation!) — even my family won’t help me —> despair.
A drug mule? For marijuana? Really?
Cop: "Step out of the car"
Cop: "I'll light you up."
Please don't waste my time with made-up Al Sharpton crap. Thanks.
When did that become a crime?
eating marijuana doesn’t make it psychoactive at all. it has to be heated to a certain degree or dissolved into an oil or other fat for the human body to get high from it, because THC isn’t water-soluble. If you could get high from just straight eating it, people would be doing that.
Tell that to Reverend Jim.
...and when she responded belligerently, he gave her an order to exit the vehicle, which she declined to comply with. There are consequences to refusing to comply.
hair tests can go longer than a month. if you had the hair while you did the drug, there are traces of it.
marijuana will be present in a bloodstream long after any effects that the person can feel.
That’s not a crime.
Assaulting a police officer, however, is.
She was pulled over for a turn signal or something, wasn’t she? The cop seemed like he really wanted her to go to jail, in my opinion.
No. Stomach acid activates THC.
Look at the videos. The police officer told her she was under arrest before she got out of the car and before the "assault" was committed. What was she being arrested for if not just being a mouthy, black female?
Chances are, if you tested many of us out there we’d historically test positive somehow for cannibus.
But were we arrested, we would not hang ourselves.

She was not arrested before she got out of the car.
She was being lawfully detained because she was posing a threat.
Texas isn`t too far from Colorado, where was she coming from, and where was she going?
