What kind of actual combat military experience has Gov. Perry had. Is it comparable to the kind of military combat experience that Bush 2 and Cheney had? I ask this as a mother whose son was with 82nd airborne in Saudi Arabia/Iraq from August 1991 to April 1992, and Special Forces twice in Afghanistan between 2006 and now.
ON the subject of “two tier” here is an idea I have been thinking about for a while as I have seen the stress of putting our National Guard troops into combat year after year. I think there should be two national guards. One called “Home Guard” would have less pay and benefits, would only serve in the US and only be in combat if there was fighting/invasion into the US. The “National Guard” would practice and be trained like the Home Guard and with the Home Guard, with additional training, pay and benefits suiting them for special needs/combat outside the US. Your thoughts?
Perry flew C-130s , no small feat.... Bush , as an ANG pilot flew F-102s & F-106s , as potnential interceptors for our homeland . I do not thing Cheney served in uniform . I feel a U.S. commander & chief for our Armed Services , prosecution of war efforts , and much of our foreign policy in general should come from the war-fighter , heard the munitions zing , held the responsibility of command and fulfilled such commitments honorably , with distinction and valor . There are a plethora of such individuals in our county today . Now out of uniform . One is James Conway and another is Michael Flynn. Others are still in uniform and have not sold out to the regime’s perverted agendas. This is what need ; REAL LEADERSHIP , not continued political BS. America is going down and all that blood & treasure will soon have been vain . Any change is better than losing both our future AND our past. Exsurgemous !
