One idea that came up was to urge three leading candidates Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor; Mr. Walker; and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida to band together and state that they would not participate in any debate in which Mr. Trump was present, using his refusal to rule out a third-party bid as a pretext for taking such a hard line.
The thinking, according to a Republican involved in the conversations, was that the lesser-funded prospects who have been eclipsed by Mr. Trump would follow suit, and the TV networks airing the debates would be forced to bar Mr. Trump in order to have a full complement of candidates.

Trump said he wouldn’t rule out 3rd party IF the republicans cheated him in the primary. In other words, if he’s treated fair and square and he lose, then he’s fine with that.
He’s not going to put up, however, with shenanigans designed to ban him, keep him out, distort his record, etc.
Personally, I don’t blame him.
Trump before Cruz huh? You are drek.
The media knows this, that’s why they keep dumping on Trump... to manipulate your vote.
LOL...and I was called CRAZY for saying that Trump would have this happen to him by the RINO’s. Hmmm....
I hope Trump beats this back though...no matter what we think, he deserves to be on stage.
Hey Yoda wanna see something really weird?
What did those goobers ever accomplish? Unlike politicians, Trump made his billions in the real world.
Lumping those two as equivalent is a logical error. Trump is an opportunist, not a conservative. IMO he is thumbing the GOP in order to justify their marginalizing him at which point he will then mount a third party effort, deliberately deliberately doomed to failure. Hence the tag line.
Think "pied piper." He's just playing the song.
If there were a serious plot, how come everybody knows about it?
I haven’t dumped Cruz at all. I want him to run with Trump, any combination of ticket. Cruz is young. Together they could provide many years of good leadership.
Cruz is still my number one. I’m not expecting that to change. I will be voting for him in the primary.
If they do this, they will lose me for good.
That’s a very odd statement coming from a poster using a moniker like “sf4dubya”.
Cruz has my vote. If Trump wins the primary, he has my vote. I’m not apologizing for supporting either of them, because they are the only two in the race who have a solution to the illegal immigration problem. That’s my number one issue.
Hes akready said that if he’s not treated well..re the debates he’s going third party.
he didnt make that decision in the last couple of weeks I dont imagine
he;s been a clinton FAN for quite a while
hes said he may go third party.
I hear a SUCKING SOUND!!....
