Real estate mogul and 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump is ahead of his fellow Republican contenders in another national survey on the field.
Mr. Trump was the first choice of 19 percent of GOP primary voters, followed closely by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at 17 percent in the poll released Monday by the Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling.
Next was former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 12 percent, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 10 percent apiece and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 8 percent.
Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky were at 4 percent apiece, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ohio Gov. John Kasich were at 3 percent apiece. No other candidate topped 1 percent.

Carson’s support comes from the same reason Obama’s support came
from.
White guilt.
The constant polling done a year and a half before the election just shows we are an OCD nation. It is the equivalent of a child asking repeatedly, “Are we there yet?” It is pointless at best. I think mostly it is just used to manipulate the processes by causing the supporters of lower polling candidates to feel defeated and to drop their candidate OR to give the power crowd a sense of their target range.
The highest polled are the ones getting news coverage right now.
Yeah, but where did all the Carson supporters come from?
Walker will never be president just because of physical appearance.
Carson is a whole different type of human being than is Obama.
Whites are largely color blind and look only at a person’s character, sincerity and integrity.
That’s his private jet???? Having him there is like the return of Jett Rink in Giant.
Walker is ahead of Bush in this poll.
++++
True.
But I tend to reference the RCP average of the most recent 4 or 5 polls to decide on the current rankings. Right now the average shows Bush in second and Walker in third.
But the trends for both Bush and Walker clearly indicate that Walker will soon move up to second place and even possibly to first.
Study the RCP average poll and you will see what I mean.
Carson has a very large FB following and posts pictures his followers have sent often. Lots of cute kids
Carson is very charismatic when seen and heard live in person. Retail politics.
I think Huckabee 8, Cruz 4 and Fiorina 4 supporters will eventually migrate to Trump 19 because he is more conservative than Walker or Bush.
That’ gives Trump 35%. He’ll need to get another 15% from the more liberal candidates. But I think that’s possible after the debates.
Beltway I believe. He has a strong following there and for the most part he deserves a strong following there. He’s a great example for everyone in Washington DC and especially for the black kids there. He or Allen West should have been America’s first black Prez or V-Prez, not Obama. I fear Obama has shut the door on any future black presidents for a generation because for a black person to overcome the leftist stench that Obama leaves around him will take an extraordinary person who is one in a billion. Chances are it won’t happen soon.
Makes sense. RINO voters flee one RINO for another.

Nice turn out to greet him. News conference later. Hope he gives the agents a voice and doesn’t just speak for them
(Nothing to say about the results, they could mean something or not.)
I think the Trump-Cruz alliance vs. the Walker-Rubio alliance will be interesting to watch as it plays out.
