In Revelation 19 the second beast is called the “false prophet”...prophets are religious figures.
Revelation 13 - he IS also referenced in chapter 19 as well.
They are also referenced in Revelation chapter 20.
This is basically off the top of my head but I had to confirm on 20, and yes, sure enough.
That’s an interpretation beyond the words.
That does not mean the person is a pope, priest, reverend, shaman, lama, imam, or any of these modern terms. For 1st Century pre-diaspora Jews, a prophet was not what we call a religious person as we know it today. To them, a prophet was someone OUTSIDE of the religious establishment.
The concept of a “false” prophet is used to describe someone horrible enough to advocate for Satan rather than Jehovah God.
We shouldn’t bend scripture to fit our own personal terms.
