Nick, I have always admired your contributions to FR, but on this topic, you are mistaken.
While I am pretty sure he supported GWB, as I did, he never get’s personally involved (on air) in the primaries, and rarely endorses at all...in all the years I have been a fan of the show.
I very seriously doubt he would vote for or support Jeb Bush, on the immigration issue alone..
While I do not personally know who he likes, I have no reason to think his preferences are anything different than mine, and mine are with Ted Cruz.
As with many Conservatives, we all fear a Jeb Bush nominee because it leaves us with a write in or a no vote potential for the general.
I don’t think that Rush is any more or less concerned about this possibility than I am. I also think we might see confirmation of this after the primary.
I don't listen to him that much, but over the years on Free Republic I hear him called a Bushbot and in with the Bush family. If you say he's not, I believe you, but why did that keep getting said?
I remember some months back when Rush said Jeb and Hillary should run together Bush/Clinton or Clinton/Bush because there was virtually no difference in their stance on the issues.
It's a well known fact that Rush NEVER endorses ANY primary candidate and goes out of his way NOT to criticize any of the candidates knowing full well that job is going to be done by the MSM hacks.
And I agree with him, we (FReepers) have enough problems dealing with the MSM and their attacks on our candidates that we don't have to stoop to their level and help them with their job.
