Trump babbled on. He tried to be honest but ... oh well.

I’m a Christian and I have never asked God for forgivness because I’ve never done anything that I consider to have been a significant sin, which is to say I’m a pretty boring person.

Interesting point of view. Do you take communion in a church service?

"I’m a Christian and I have never asked God for forgivness because I’ve never done anything that I consider to have been a significant sin, which is to say I’m a pretty boring person."

A lawyer asked Jesus how to have eternal life. Jesus asked him what is written in the law? The lawyer replied "Love God and Love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus told him he had answered well that he had summed up the law.

Any failure to love is sin. Congrats on the boring life, but of you look closely you probably can find plenty that needs forgiveness.

The rich young ruler approached Jesus and asked how to have enternal life. Jesus rattled off about 7 of the 10 commandments. The young ruler said I've kept all of those from my youth. Jesus said go and sell all that you have and follow me. The rich young ruler went away sorrowful because he didn't want to sell all that he had. Jesus had effectively answered the question in a way that showed the ruler that he was putting his wealth before God.

The disciples saw this and were amazed and asked "Who then can be saved?" After all, this was a "very good" guy that Jesus just had the exchange with. Jesus said "With man it would be impossible but with God all things are possible."
