McCain is a survivor.

It's bigger than that.

He was offered the chance to go home, the North Vietnamese hoping to capitalize on the fact his dad was CNO, but he refused special treatment and abided by the code 'first in, first out'.

Assailing the service of a former POW when you're draft dodger for the very same war isn't very smart.

Asked why he didn’t serve, Trump said, “I had student deferments and ultimately had a medical deferment because of my feet. I had a bone spur.” But Trump said he did not recall which foot was injured and instructed reporters to look up his records.

Trump didn’t trash your precious McCain. What he said was, being captured doesn’t make you a war hero. And tell me, how many other POWs got war hero status?

Then he said he likes people who weren’t captured. He should have added “too” because as he’s explained 6,000 times, he meant that he likes people who weren’t captured too, not just those who were.

He may not have served but he has been the only one out there pushing for the veterans. Others talk about improving the military but Trump is probably the most passionate about restoring our military to greatness.

Pure crap, unadulterated by any understanding of the event. McCrap had no choice, if he had accepted the offer to go home early, what exactly would have been his career choices? His family name, after two Admiral forebears, toast. This legend is merely spin, putting lipstick on the pig.

The only person I’ve ever heard say McCain turned down the chance to be released early is McCain. Do you have facts stating otherwise? I’m curious. Because I know there are fellow POWs who say everything McCain says are lies.

Your statement perpetuates a lie drawn around false heroism.

McCain was ordered to refuse as were all other POWs by Admiral Stockdale who was the Commanding Officer of all POWs inside the Hanoi Hilton. Admiral stated that no POW would go home early unless all POWs were going as well.

McCain was under a general order. It was not of his own volition. That makes all the difference.

Define your words “draft dodger”

Also define “Tax dodger”

Then try and reconcile your differing definitions.
