Donald Trump said Saturday that "I am not sure that I have" ever asked God for forgiveness, telling the 2015 Iowa Family Leadership Summit that "I just go on and try to do a better job from there.
"I don't think so," Trump, who is Presbyterian, said in response to the question from pollster and summit host Frank Luntz. Trump was among 10 Republican presidential candidates at the daylong event in Ames, Iowa.

Not a Christian perspective.
This manifests the worldly perspective, confused with the knowledge of good and evil, substituting an arrogant ability to make something right, even in a situation where we might not possess the resources to redeem our wrongs.
It confuses sin as immorality, instead of focusing upon God and what He has planned for us.
There’s no question about that, but if we are electing people based on orthodoxy, there wouldn’t be many candidates left to pick from.
C’mon, Nick. You’re prone to making outlandish statements, so I wouldn’t hold yourself up as the paragon of truth. How about the slanderous accusation you personally made on June 2nd claiming that William Shatner MURDERED his wife ? You never offered any proof or retracted your statement.

Nicely done.
Being honest and speaking one’s mind now makes one a fraud? Thanks for the laugh.
Sounds like a man giving an honest answer.
I guess the same could be said for Soetoro.
The establishment is going to try to go after Trump on religion, guns and the military to knock out his base. Trump will have to be prepared for this.
Heck, as President, he might re instate DADT, what would you think of that?
My bigger point is we have two strong candidates in Cruz and Walker, yet people want to be drawn to the carnival barker who has no chance.
The FR primary is in favor of Cruz....
That “carnival barker” is doing something almost no Republican candidate (save for Cruz) has done in a long time, loudly speak the truth and not apologize for it. After almost 3 decades of ball-less, gutless wonder candidates for President, the base is starving for a strong and unafraid leader. He’s doing the party an enormous service separating out the Conservatives from the big government, party establishment flunkies. As for having no chance, given that he has soared to #1 in some polls for primary preference, anyone quick to dismiss him has not a clue as to what’s going on.
Wow I totally agree. I feel God is using Donald Trump. I believe God is using Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and shinning a light upon the political scene because this nation is going to hit a wall down the road. We need strong leaders not some community organizer girly man to guide us thru the hell this nation collapses.
In the bible, many great men in the bible were not perfect but God used them for his will.
I still say Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are working together and I believe this was not accident that they are. I believe they were meant to.
I like Trump but he needs to use the pause and think method before he speaks. It is way ok to speak your mind, just take a second to formulate a way to express yourself as to not sound flippant. It is a learned art, he may catch on, Who knows?
He stumbled into the truth. Based on his track record, there’s strong evidence he doesn’t believe it.
If Trump ever got into office (thank god he has 0% chance), it would be another total disaster.
Always a first time. He’s honest. Then you have frauds who say they have, but really haven’t. Who’se the more arrogant?
I agree. The stupid is strong in some of these.
Sometimes all you have to do is stumble into the truth. He’s certainly exposing all the “Republicans” that believe in the big lie that illegals are a positive for our nation. You also keep repeating the claim he has a “0%” chance of winning after I just told you he’s at #1 in many primary polls, that’s far from unviable. By the way, “God” is capitalized, and please don’t use His name to preface a demonstrable falsehood.
I agree with you totally. When we pray we often have our own idea who God will use and how it will be done. But often God has different ideas and we don’t see our prayers being answered because we are stuck in our own mindset of how it should be.
It’s funny the people on the “premier conservative site etc” who find a simple, honest answer intolerable. Seems they would prefer their country lose, than be stained by a man whose pecadillos don’t seem to concern the man on the street. Makes one wonder if high minded trolls of conservative purity spend any time on the street, or as little as possible between the driver’s side and triple locking their front door. There are people out there, if they would just peek out their windowshades, they will see them...who are just a little more concerned by the nation being destroyed than the intangible benefits of self-stroking Republican snobbery.
