He doesn’t owe me one. McCain craps on us every damn day. His hero status doesn’t excuse his constant betrayals and treason to the US Constitution.

It certainly does not excuse McCain's behavior; however, I think POW's can certainly be heroes and people to be liked. The late Sen. Denton refused to betray America in captivity and even blinked out the word torture while being interviewed in then North Vietnam. I had the pleasure of speaking to the great man on a talkshow once. If any POW should have been President, it should have been Adm. Denton.

Of course. But he’s (McStain) come a long way since then. And all of it the wrong way.

Why on earth do you feel it necessary to say something so obvious? No one has so much as hinted at ANYTHING that even remotely suggests the opposite of that sentiment. And McCain cannot bask in the much earned heroism of Senator Denton.
