I worked at KING, the AM station, which no longer exists. The 1090 frequency was sold to another owner, and the station itself went to a different frequency (770) and yet another owner.
I’m not a fan of radio stations changing formats and identifications. Growing up in Indy it was WIBC, the “old people” station for talk and news. It’s what my dad listened to. Still the same format, and now it’s what Mrs. henkster and I listen to in the morning. When that started, we laughed. We realized we’d become our parents.
