The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Thursday ended a secret investigation into whether Republican Gov. Scott Walker's campaign illegally coordinated with conservative groups in winning his 2012 recall election.
The court's action is a major victory for Walker as he pursues the presidency, though one expert said prosecutors could appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. No one has been charged in the so-called John Doe probe, Wisconsin's version of a grand jury investigation where information is tightly controlled, but questions about the investigation have dogged Walker for months.
The case centers on political activity conducted by Wisconsin Club for Growth and other conservative organizations during the 2012 recall, which was spurred by Democrats' anger over a Walker-authored law that effectively ending collective bargaining for most public workers.

——Why dont you revert to your previous argument that the attempt to repeal the Open Records Laws didnt happen.
You must be confusing me with someone else.
My point was that Speaker Voss said that he and his caucus was responsible and made a mistake. But I suppose in your view he was lying. Reasonable people can disagree, but its rather odd for a ‘conservative’ to accuse the Republican governor, the Republican Speaker, many of his caucus, and two Wisconsin Supreme Court justices of being corrupt liars. And to identify with out of control prosecutors. That sounds like the kind of paranoia you are accusing me of.
So you have a piddling diversion from your being called out on all the lies you continue to post here about the John Doe and your inability to identify with the real victims here, the targets of an unlawful investigation and the people of Wisconsin.
Only an emotionally unstable person would talk about your family members the way you are.
Just stop lying about this.
You seem to have a problem. You cannot distinguish between others having a different opinion than you do and lying. Very defensive and immature, to say the least.
If you want people to dislike Cruz because they cannot stand you, you’re doing a good job!
And knock off the “My son died so you must kiss my butt” nonsense. My Dad died in Vietnam. I spent 25 years in the military. My SIL is on 90% disability after his 2 tours in Iraq. My son & daughter were in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And that doesn’t mean squat all in right or wrong.
This was an obscene witch hunt. The tactics used by the prosecution are a slap in the face to every American who has served or died. It was exactly the sort of totalitarian BS the Revolution sought to end. Deal with it.
I’m glad the justices didn’t recuse themselves. It is about time some conservatives FOUGHT for what is right, instead of rolling over and whimpering because someone accused them of something!
This John Doe was an exercise in lying from the first moment. Lefties here have lied copiously from that first days. They hate Walker because of his honor. Wisconsin finally gets justice and the truth told from the highest bench and you persist in the same lies as they pushed.
Not just sliming them out but actually posting the lies from leftists we know to be liars, but to you they are more trustworthy than the the Republican Governor, the Republican Speaker of the House, Senior Republican Senators.
That Schmitz is a Republican is a lie.
That Supreme court justices illegally coordinated with advocacy groups is
a lie. — Its as if Citizens United never happened.
Im not the only one calling you out. Maybe you should find some other smear to focus on, this one has now been rectified by a resounding Supreme Court finding which opens the door to John Chisholm being sued for civil rights violations. A real conservative would be happy that freedom is being protected.
You don’t like Cruz because he Is what Walker wants everyone to believe that he is. I just don’t.
I’m not defending the investigation. I just don’t think Justices with a conflict of interest should be ruling, just like the SCOTUS Justices should not have been in the gay marriage case.
“You dont like Cruz because he Is what Walker wants everyone to believe that he is”
I like Cruz. I prefer him to Walker. I just don’t like your posts.
A real Conservative would not have been trying to hide his records by having the Open Records Law repealed.
Then why do you feel compelled to read them? No one is forcing you to. Ever heard of Free Speech?
Oh, I forgot.
Federal Judge Calvert is a corrupt liar
Clevert went farther than previous judges, ordering the Government Accountability Board to “immediately and conspicuously post, on the homepage of GABs website valid hyperlinks” his final judgment and an appeals court ruling on which it is based.

Federal Judge Randa is a corrupt liar
The lawsuit filed by OKeefe cites legal precedents that say investigations, whether on a federal or state level, are capable of encroaching upon the constitutional liberties of individuals, and impinge on freedom of speech and it appears Judge Randa agreed.
Wisconsin Appellate Judge Peterson is a corrupt liar.
The subpoenas, Peterson ruled, did not show probable cause that (the conservatives) committed any violations of campaign finance law.

Theres a universe of corrupt politicians and judges, they are all dirty, except for your guy.
—— Im not defending the investigation.
the FASCIST investigation. Yes you are defending it. You are furthering their political aims just like every drooling lefty has. The Process is the Punishment. You are on their side.
-—I just dont think Justices with a conflict of interest should be ruling,
Which comes directly from the left and only applicable to conservative judges.
Lefties never have have conflicts of interest for example like the former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice.
“I’m troubled by (Chief Justice) Shirley Abrahamson and the union support” she has received, said James Sample, a law professor at Hofstra University in New York. “I guess the risk-averse approach would be to say she should step aside.”
Some other legal scholars said the union help for Abrahamson was small in relation to overall spending in her 2009 re-election bid and did not require her to step aside.
Give it your best shot. Too bad Trump is sucking all the air out of the room.
“Trump took 18 percent support in a national Fox News poll released Thursday evening. Right behind him is Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with 15 percent.”
