There was no mention of callers in this segment, though there was in several other, but not that the caller was a catholic.

The transcripts are partial. Three hours would be a lot of transcript.

By googling, I found the Catholic caller portion transcript:

Catholic Caller to Host: You're More Pro-Life Than Most Catholic Priests

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This is Mary in Ridgefield, Connecticut. I'm glad you called, and thank you for your patience. Hi.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call. First of all, I want to thank you for speaking the truth with such great humor. I really do appreciate it. Hey, I've been trying to get through to you for a while and it's always about the same thing, the Catholic Church, the Catholic hierarchy and your response to certain issues. And today was another example where I think you're almost more Catholic than some of the Catholic priests I know, and I know I have to town that down a bit and say maybe braver than a lot of Catholic priests I know. Because you're right out there on the sanctity of life and you're consistent and you do not mince words.

I'm a Catholic. I don't question the Catholic Church and the hierarchy value of human life and the sanctity of human life, but we do not get it all the time from the pulpit. And I tell some of the priests I know, "Tune in to Rush, tune in to Rush, he's talking about abortion. He's right out there. He doesn't mince words and he's consistent, he's consistent, he's consistent." And I greatly appreciate that.

RUSH: Wow. Thank you. Thanks very much. Are you serious when you say that detect -- what's the word -- you think from the pulpit the priests are not as vocal on life as they have been? Is that what you're saying?

CALLER: Well, you know, yes. Not across the board, I love my priests, I love the Catholic Church, it's the only game in town. I'm a devout Catholic, but for example, Right to Life Sunday, every year in our calendar we have a Right to Life Sunday, and I'll talk to my sisters and my brothers and do the priests actually stand up and talk about abortion? No, no, no, no, and my 21-year-old son said to me, I said, "I'm getting to Rush," he said, "Good luck." And there's a lot of push-back from kids that age on this. But, anyway, he said, "Well, the priests and the bishops have to be more politic because they have to deal, you know, with the parishioners." And I said, "Well, no, no. It's not supposed to work that way. I mean, if anything --"

RUSH: Yeah, I know, but it does. Your son is right.

CALLER: It's politics, it's money, it's all of the above. And there is a great right to life movement in the country. I'm not saying there's not, but I have 19- and 21-year-old sons, and I say, if they do not hear it from the pulpit where are they gonna hear it besides Rush?

RUSH: Look, everybody needs money, and if the people that donate money don't want to hear about it, then you might not talk about it, if you're a church.
