He didn’t violate the first rule of comedy: Be funny.
I love Bloom County. I love Steve Dallas, Opus, Milo and Binkley and all of the supporting characters.

One of the greatest cartoons/cartoonists of modern times. Smart, sassy, conservative and right on target.
If only Jeff MacNeally were still alive to add his works to the junk comic pages today.
But we have Ramirez, Alie?, and a few other conservatives who skewer the left like St. George and the dragon.

Wouldn’t Bloom County be considered Hate Speech now?

Life is better with a little Steve Dallas in it.

I liked Bloom County okay. Breathed could be achingly funny, though he could also get under my skin with some of his political stuff. I’ll give the comeback strip a chance.
Truth be told, though, I’d have been a lot more excited if the story was about Bill Watterson bringing back Calvin and Hobbes...

My favorites were after Pat Oliphant got his knickers all in a twist about Bloom County willing a Pulitzer Prize and claimed that Breathed stole his itty bitty penguin.
Berkley belittled him unmercifully in his strips.

Ok, so let me get this straight:
We’ve got an election where Cliton is running against Bush
We’ve got warnings about an ice age coming
Russia is saber rattling again
And now Bloom County?
Tell me time travel is not possible.

I still have a copy of “Billy and the Boingers: Bootleg” around here somewhere, complete with the 45 RPM single.

I’d rather see Watterson come back with Calvin and Hobbes
