I’ll see your 1000 words and raise you 10,000 more.
What a great depiction. Seems so fitting...
Lighten up, Francis!
Sell all land and assets the Church owns and forfeit all 501c3 statuses and similar ones world wide, so the RCC can pay its fair share. If the Pope truly hates Capitalism that is what he should do.
How many Capitalist countries are there in South America?
He is the absolute head of the richest religious on Earth. Before I could take him serious he must divest the Catholic Church of all it’s wealth for the sake of the poor...... I thought not.
Benedict needs to mount an antipope challenge.
There is probably billions of dollars worth of artifacts in the Vatican Archives. I also would not be surprised if some of the lost art from WWII made its way into the catacombs beneath the Vatican.
Simplicio Bergoglio.
‘The dung of the devil”. There you go Frank, wading into the gutter. Not a very edifying way to speak for the man who supposedly represents the Catholic Church.
“How many Capitalist countries are there in South America?”
I can think of one. Chile. Chile followed the advice of Miltorn Friedman, not the advice of Pope Che. Chile has freedom and prosperity.
Francis whining about capitalism has about as much credibility as Bruce Springsteen singing about the plight of the blue collar worker.
I’m sure that the Saudis would pay a pretty penny for St. Peters. Would make a wonderful Mosque.
Capitalism is totally unfair to cultures who produce and contribute absolutely nothing of value to the advancement of humanity. Calitalism assumes one person creates something of value and voluntarily trades it for something of value somebody else created.
9/11 made me a Catholic again, looks like Pope Francis will undo that.
Hmmm...I’ve been Catholic for 50 years and don’t remember seeing the Pope on the crucifix over the altar.
The Church oversees 1 billion faithful.
It's a pretty lean operation.
You know he gave the communist cross back immediately saying, “It’s not right”, right? Just saying...
Definitely...
And I was excoriated in the past by many FReepers when I said that Francis was a Marxist.
Or attacking tele-evangelical Christians for having nice homes and big churches.
“9/11 made me a Catholic again, looks like Pope Francis will undo that.”
I can appreciate that.
