Well, I DO care about the wives’ point of view and beliefs. Ever heard of pillow talk? Look at the havoc the Wookie has foisted upon our schools. And, for the record, most all of the Republican presidents’ wives have been pro-choice. You can google this information. Even Laura Bush. However, she never voiced her opinion publicly. This causes the husbands to dance around the issues. Sorry, but, it DOES matter.

Okay, I am not really saying skip the wives. Consider back to Nancy Reagan talking to astrologers in guiding Reagan's schedule. Hillary was pillared in the White House. Bush II wife killed her boyfriend in a car accident. Michelle is about our biggest embarrassment, costing 10s or 100s of million for her trips, plus the fiasco with school lunches. I do have a problem that Bush III wife is a Mexican citizen. Explains his amnesty views. More importantly, I still like clarity on whether he met her while hiding in Mexico to avoid the draft, which timing suggests. Plus family memoirs discuss his opposition to the war and that he wanted to avoid serving.

My problem here with Santorum is that he chooses this as a way to criticize Walker and insert himself into the news. It is a pure below-the-waste political cheapshot. Seriously, we have not heard from Santorum since forever and he as <1% in any poll. Is this really how he wants to insert himself in the news? It is very discrediting.

To support your point, people might want to know or be reminded that large corporations hold several interviews when looking to fill top jobs.

The interview the spouse alone, and together with the job seeker, and these are not token interviews either. Then they watch...and wait.

Point being the big boys sure think the spouse has a very real and direct effect on the prospective employee.
