The Virginia documents include a list of the delegates who voted for or against ratification. Two of the negative votes were from Benjamin Harrison, father of future President William Henry Harrison, and John Tyler, father of future President John Tyler (who at the time of his death was a member of the Confederate Congress).

Benjamin Harrison was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. His great-grandson was the 23rd President.
