I’m originally from NY. Let me tell you NY’ers pepper their everyday speech with the 4 letter words far more than anybody. Its a little crass though— I would prefer less of it.

Both of my grandsons always fondly refer to it as “Granny speak”. I really try not to, especially around them, but sometimes it is either the only thing that fits or it just slips out!
