Not to belabor the point, but comparing Governors to Senators on the issue of Sanctuary Cities is not apt analogy,

The first two I mentioned were governors. I broke out Cruz separately for that reason. It was sort of an "All the King's horses and and the King's Men" type of point. Perry has mixed reviews around here, but Abbot is pretty highly regarded. I meant to include Austin, but cited Texas instead.

Fair enough...I like both Cruz and Walker as candidates...but I do not buy into this “we need a governor” thing due to executive experience, etc. I’m not saying that was your insinuation, but it has been a point belabored on this forum.

The Presidency is no longer and executive or administrative position...it’s a visionary position, a bully pulpit decision, a direction setting decision. Both men, within the constraints of their offices, have shown no fear in setting a vision....few Senators do this admittedly, but Cruz is not most Senators. And being someone totally against public sector unions, I admire what Walker has done as well.
