Presidential candidate and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) is furious about Fox News' rules for the first GOP primary debate.
In a Fox News interview on Friday, Graham blasted the right-leaning network's "dumb" rules, which will limit the participants to 10 candidates polling the best in an average of the five most recent national polls.
"I think that this is a dumb way to weed out the field," Graham declared.
Many critics say the August 6 debate's rules harm the candidates campaigning in the early voting states and elevate those who have been getting those most national TV exposure or who have run for president before.
With around 17 Republican candidates running, there will be a number of furious White House hopefuls left out of the crucial opportunity to be heard before a major television audience. Graham, who is lagging in national polls, clearly agrees with that assessment. He argued that July 2015 is too early to even pay attention to polls.
"Brad Pitt would be in the debate in August. Anybody with any celebrity would be in the debate," he said. "I don't mind weeding out the field over time."
"It's July for God's sakes!" he added. "So a national poll is a lousy way, in my view, to determine who should be on the stage. And I quite frankly resent it."

I hate to say it, but Limpy Graham is right...
FoxNews is trimming the field even before a lot of them get wheels in these primary states, and those campaigns (that FoxNews deems low polling) might as well hang it up after this parade they are setting up...
There is no way we will not see Jebby in August...And the other 9 campaigns FoxNews selects will just be window dressing, regardless if the polling is positive for Bush...
I would bet we will see Perry in the ten...Not that he is polling well, we will be told he polls well, but that is beside the point...
We will not see, Huckabee, Jindal, and maybe Walker might not even make the cut, I would be surprised if we did see one of these folks...
Fiorina will probably make the cut because she is a girl...And FoxNews loves girls...
So I plan to not be excited about this process the GOP is allowing to go forward by the only semi-friendly network out there, and let them tell the country who is important, and who is not...
Meanwhile the democrats and the MSM are sitting back laughing their azzes off at all this...
They have their own problems, but as long as they continue to be roped in by their darling...A communist is giving her a real run for the nomination...
He will be dealt with in due time, and they gotz lots of time to do it...
But, yet again, what do I know...
Ohhhh, for sure we’ll see Trump, only because he’s getting a lot of attention these days...
Try not to smear your mascara, Linda. It is unbecoming. He is just whining because he is being weeded out.
If Graham wants to be president let him 1) come out of the closet and 2) trade the R for a D. He says he can beat Hillary. Go do it.
So what’s the option?
Have a “debate” between 26 people? How’s that work?
Yeah. whiny boy Lindsey has a point...but the fact remains, he’s not getting in the top ten ever. Whatever the weeding out process, and whenever it takes place, he’s gone with the weeds....
Yep...
Let’s be honest....other than 10,000 votes out of South Carolina....no one else would vote for the guy. If you gave me a choice of Hillary or Graham....I’d actually vote for Hillary.
Faggot says what??
Just do a show of hands. “Ok which of is in favor of building a wall on the southern border”? It would be very efficient.
He has zero chance to be the nominee...why is he wasting his time ?
“Fringe” candidates have always been excluded. Graham is just upset because this time he might fall into the category.
But then that’s exactly what he is. What national or even regional, outside perhaps SC, demand has there been for him to run?
Bring back duelling.......

...............
Yup
Doubt it. Trump’s presence would mean much higher ratings.
Ratings and money trump (ha) even the ideological leanings of the media.
The hardcore Sanders supporters I know have tried to prop up Lindsey as an honest, reasonable Republican. They must think I am easily influenced.
These "debates" have to stop.
Where was GOPe outrage when all of the “objective journalists” selected to ask questions at these “debates” were always left wing whackos?
