This means either that (1) the interruption gave him a chance to think, and he was correcting it to it must be in one of those 3 categories. Or, it could mean (2)that he has one view about those that ARE taking place, and that he has another view about those that are justifiable. For those that ARE taking place he finds later term abortions to be abhorrent.
Or, more likely, the Reporter uncovered Donald's true position in a moment of Donald being flustered.
In other words, this is a political position of convenience for "The Donald".

I don’t think Trump has a solid position on any of the social issues. He seems to say whatever he thinks will help him close the deal.
