I don’t go to a church because it is socially compatible with me or because I like the preacher. I am a convert and studied history and religion much in the converting. I was and am convinced that there is one Church from the beginning and its history with occasional bad actors does tempt me to jump to a heresy.
You are not alone, millions of people in the Middle East take the same attitude.
