It’s that Republicans and Democrats have the same goals they just disagree on how to get there.
The GOP are hypocrites the same as the Dems are.
When they try to get tough the Dems point out the hypocrisy.
The Dems don’t even pretend like the’re not hypocrites so they don’t run away from their positions.

I agree with your entire post. I think Cruz certainly did the right thing in refusing to criticize Trump. I thought that was smart.

I have always believed in my 70 years of life, if you don’t like something, change it....and I have....I like what Trump is saying and if he keeps it up, I will like it all the more...

That is from a long time ago, but the point remains, if the GOPe is dead set on sinking Ted Cruz’s candidacy, then it deserves everything coming to it - including a Donald Trump third-party candidacy.
The GOPe needs to be destroyed - either reformed from within by Ted Cruz, or destroyed from the outside by Donald Trump or whoever else.
