Lower, slower DE is beautiful. A little flat, with lots of farms, and beautiful beaches.
A short hop on the ferry from Lewes to Cape May, NJ.
Low property taxes and no sales taxes.
People wave here—a lot— and they use all five fingers when they do.
Church is still a big thing here.
Very conservative, unlike the rest of DE.
Been here 9 years from NJ, and love it.

Yes, that’s what I remember learning about that part of the state, from Dover south. It’s Wilmington that’s the real arm pit IIRC.
