Kids Locked Up For Refusing To Have Lunch With Dad; Judge Compares Siblings To Charles Manson Cult

PONTIAC (WWJ) – An Oakland County judge has sent three children to a juvenile detention facility for failing to have a relationship with their father, saying it’s one of the worst cases of parental alienation she’s ever seen — even comparing the children to the Charles Manson cult.

Circuit Judge Lisa Gorcyca declared the children — ages 9, 10 and 15 — in civil contempt of court during a hearing on June 24. The children were taken into custody and hauled off to Children’s Village after declining to have lunch with their father.

“It’s a very troubling case, no doubt,” said WWJ Legal Analyst Charlie Langton. “But you have to go way back to get the whole story. This is not just a lunch with dad. This goes back well more than that.”

Dad does live here. Moved back to US when Mom did with the kids. He works for GM.

There has been years of "supervised" visitation, often with a professional. This is from an interview with the father. Why?

Even while in detention, the kids have no desire to see their father - interesting.

Yes it will inpact them into adulthood but forcing them will also affect that.

“If Dad is only temporarily living in Israel.. I guess it could wait. If he is living there full time.. well, hate to say it.. but this poses a huge problem for the kids.”

He’s only there temporarily, on business.

I’m not sure what Dearborn has to do with anything.

Well, for one, it's Muslim.

Actually its not. Its largely middle eastern but Muslims are still a minority there.

Still has nothing to do with the story.

“When he went to court for custody of their children, one of the things her lawyer presented was the four 911 calls for domestic abuse.”

And you can bet her lawyer instructed her to do the 911 calls. It’s also a good bet his lawyer was in collusion since he made no objection and did not summons the responding police officers to testify. Reason: lawyers collude to get paid by whomever has the money. Whoever has the money is the one who gets it the worst.

His lawyer did make objection but they didn’t know she would submit the calls as evidence until they did so in court. The Judge said it didn’t matter what the circumstances were, just that she clearly feared for her safety to have made the calls.

In many cases, women get the benefit of doubt that they would ever manipulate things like 911 calls to get their way.

Sounds like Mom is the one who needs a time out in Detention not the kids.

Wow! ...that other thread was most entertaining.

Even to the point of pinging JimRob, I guess in an attempt to get one of the 'combatants' kicked off FR.

I also read that the father has re-married while the mom has not. ...for what that's worth.

It seem the oldest has made himself "man of the house" now and holds great animosity towards his father, deservedly or not?

I ordered you to talk to your father. You chose not to talk to your father. You defied a direct court order. It’s direct contempt so I’m finding you guilty of civil contempt,” Gorcyca told the oldest child, according to the Oakland Press.

“You want to have your birthdays in Children’s Village? Do you like going to the bathroom in front of people? Is your bed soft and comfortable at home,” she asked."

Its all too clear from this language that the be-robed pissant judge needs to tossed off the stinking bench...and sent to ADULT VILLAGE!!!

Gotta disagree. At issue is having lunch with their father. What is their excuse other than hatred and contempt? You want to condone that?

For their contempt of their father they are willing to defy the court ...and were found in contempt. Seeing a pattern here?

The judge is doing society and the children a favor removing them from a hateful and contemptuous household. If the children are allowed to have hatred and contempt rule their world their lives will be forfeit.

They were in contempt of court for ~their~ refusal to have lunch with their father. How reasonable of them is that?

Their minds are poisoned to the point of rationalizing contempt of court being preferable to a lunch with dad. Sick. The good judge is doing her part to bring a little clarity and reason into their lives. And she’s separating them from the source of their hatred and contempt in doing it. Bravo for the judge.
