Power corrupts and federal power corrupts absolutely. It seems once we put someone in office, regardless of how conservative they claim to be, protecting their perks and privileges becomes the first order of business, especially in the face of the media mob. No country can last long once the cowards have established their claim to leadership. We are ripe for the five dictators we have and the one in the wings. Once the masses are impoverished and intimidated into silence, resistance will end completely and we will join the failures of history.
