Pornography is one of those areas where we have really pushed the envelope in recent decades.
For now, we have drawn the line at child pornography being a criminal offense. But for how long. I wonder.
If you look at pornograohy from the past, in publications such as Playboy, the past seems tame by comparison with today. In the old days, some of those magazines didn’t show full frontal. Now they show everything as well as showing actual intercourse. They have really gotten more explicit.
Hard core porn has been around since photography was invented. Heck, it’s been around since man discovered drawing and painting.
The internet is what has put it front and center of society by it’s ubiquitous availability.
The Supreme Court changed First Amendment law regarding obscenity about 1970. Before, full frontal was generally illegal. After “mainstream” mags like Playboy went full frontal and, of course, hardcore porn in public theaters became legal. Deep Throat soon followed.
