Shoebat is correct...to a degree. Had he kept reading Paul’s letter to the Romans, he would have noticed that unkindness, lack of showing mercy, and disobedience to parents is lumped in with murder and, yes, homosexuality. Clearly, the argument Paul is making is that everyone is broken, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one is exempt, not the church lady nor the homosexual.

Thanks. Homosexuality is generally treated in the New Testament as one of several sexual sins. The notion that it is peculiarly sinful relative to other types of sex outside marriage isn’t well supported.

It is, of course, much more fun to condemn sins you aren’t tempted to engage in yourself.

Homosexuality and abortion is the ludicrous notion that a “woman” can trade some food for sex. But if she trades life for food, then she can be eaten too, and she also would then trade life for sex herself! reversing the game on her, making her lustful and needy, losing all leverage.

Shoebat is misquoting 2 Peter 2.

Peter is discussing false prophets and false teachers in the church, not homosexuals (per se):

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you:whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Same type of discussion is in the book of Jude; Jude is referring to false teachers and false prophets who have infiltrated the church and community of believers:

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

He's misquoting the Bible to stir up anti gay hatred, which makes me think Shoebat is shilling for the Establishment.

If Shoebat turned his attention to the pedophile priest problem in the Catholic church, he would find God's true wrath.

Peter and Jude are concerned with false teachers and false prophets who have infiltrated our "love feasts" with heresies and lasciviousness.

And these kind of counterfeit "prophets" are in the protestant and charismatic churches (N.A.R. Elijah List types) -- it's not just the damnable heresies and pedophile cover-ups of the Catholic church.

People who rape and plunder little children while claiming the name of Christ are the real triggers for the Apocalypse.
