I remember during Iran-Contra, she stood by him and told him what to say when quizzed by a reporter. It was pretty clear that Nancy was closer to Betty Ford politically than to her husband. Or am I missing something? I can’t think of a conservative stand Nancy pushsed, but there may be one, other than “Just Say, No” to drugs.
