Republican presidential candidate New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Monday that Sen. Ted Cruz has no right to tell Republicans to stop attacking each other.
I find it ironic that Ted Cruz is giving lectures on Republican-on-Republican violence, said Christie on Fox News. I mean with all due respect, I dont need to be lectured by Ted Cruz.
Christie called Cruz hypocritical for saying he refuses to attack Republicans even though he worked with the Senate Conservatives Fund. In the 2014 midterm elections, the political action committee supported primary challengers to incumbent Republicans they deemed to be too moderate.
Christie said he took issue with SCFs targeting of Tennessees Sen. Lamar Alexander, whom he said he admires.
Cruz told his Republican colleagues in 2014 that he wouldnt participate in SCFs efforts to kick them out of their seats, according to Politico, and did not get involved in incumbents primary races.
The SCF never directly endorsed or raised funds Alexanders primary opponent, state Rep. Joe Carr, but ran ads in 2013 criticizing his vote in favor of a budget resolution that funded Obamacare, according to The Hill.
Governor Christie is a good man and we appreciate his taking the time to point out Senator Cruzs unceasing efforts to help get more conservatives elected to Congress, said Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier in an email.
Christies comments came when he was asked about Donald Trumps claim that most Mexican immigrants were rapists or drug-smugglers, and Cruzs defense of Trumps bold, brash way of speaking.
Other Republican presidential candidates, including Christie and former Texas Gov, Rick Perry, condemned Trumps comments.
Cruz praised Trump for drawing attention to illegal immigration and said he refuses to commit Republican-on-Republican violence.
It seems the favorite sport of the Washington media is to encourage some Republicans

DOESN’T flinch... DOESN’T flinch...DOESN’T flinch!!!
Sorry guys, just screwed up in posting/
... in all respects (mentally, ethically, physically ...)
Over and over again.............
Of course Christie is going to be offended by Cruz, he’s offended by conservatism and conseratives.
Thank you. You took the words right out of my mouth.
“Mr. Donut is bridging the strawman issue
after being programmed to backstab conservatives
for his latest pillow-love, Bishop RomneyCARE.”
Bridging.. I get it. Good one.
So, the fat slob for New Jersey is trying to makes his bones at the expense of the gentleman from Texas!
Christie should know better than to take on the man who’s without one doubt a million times smarter and unafraid of him!
A humble man takes advice.
Krispy Kreme Kristy couldn’t hold Ted’s jock strap.
It was actually a jab. “Thanks for pointing out they we work on getting conservatives elected.”
Exactly. Clearly NOT a “flinch”.
All you need to know about Christie! Fat Bastard with Black-eyed Pea!
Telling that Christie and the GOP think participating in democracy is “attacking Republicans.”
Good job, Christie. Cruz didn’t even mention your name. You took it personally and made his point.
Christie is so outclassed by Cruz. He really isn’t helping himself by attacking someone who has been nothing but gracious to everyone else. I guess he thinks a wise guy persona makes up for his many inadequacies.
A worthless POS liberal fat whale blubber politician walking hand in hand with an anorexic Aids infected transgender homo. I’ll let you decide which is which.
I ask, respectfully, that you think about that.
Carry on.
It is amazing to me that Cruz painted Gov. Christie as a big- government liberal with such gracious rhetoric, that the governor didn’t realized he has been punked.
Christie might even worse than that other NJ icon, Mr. Wilson.
