Expected presidential candidate and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's (R) family apparently isn't on the same page as he is when it comes to same-sex marriage.
In a profile of Walker's wife, Tonette Walker, The Washington Post reported Sunday that the Supreme Court's recent marriage ruling was a "particularly tough day" for the Walker family.
Some of their children, she said, are big proponents of same-sex marriage and were bothered by Walker's call for a constitutional amendment to reverse the high court's decision.
"That was a hard one," Tonette Walker said. "Our sons were disappointed. ... I was torn. I have children who are very passionate [in favor of same-sex marriage], and Scott was on his side very passionate."
She further said she has a lesbian cousin and noted that one of their sons was the best man at the relative's same-sex wedding last year.
"It's hard for me because I have a cousin who I love dearly — she is like a sister to me — who is married to a woman, her partner of 18 years," she said.
Tonette Walker also said it shouldn't be surprising that the family has some political disagreements.

Have to agree with you that Walker has likely peaked. And that he may not have what it takes to shine in debates.
Otoh, calling Walker a "squish" goes too far. True, he flip-flopped on immigration. That's enough for me to hold him in suspicion.
But you can't take it away from him that he stood up to the thug unions ... and won. And he stood up to a well-funded media/leftist onslaught in three elections ... and won. Even when his elderly parents were threatened, he didn't back off.
And why are conservatives attacking him in a thread that's about his taking a principled stance on traditional marriage? This is about HIM, not his sons, who are still young and foolish enough to be what many of US once were : young and foolish.
