The nations pitched and passionate debate over the display of the Confederate flag has found its voice in the northern state of Minnesota, where a firefighter flew the most enduring symbol of the Civil War South alongside Old Glory on a fire truck in a July 4th weekend parade in Albert Lea.
The Confederate flag flew at the same height as the U.S. flag from the back of the truck belonging to the Freeborn County town of Hartland during the 3rd of July Parade on Friday, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce. Also over the weekend, the Confederate flag fluttered on a vehicle in a small-town July 4th parade south of Pelican Rapids, Minn.
Parade sponsor said flying the flag was unfortunate but will essentially be forgotten in a couple of days.

It just shows that Yankees really think of themselves as USA residents, the state is insignificant. :)

It isn’t about the Confederate Flag. It is about the rights of all Americans from all over our America to tell the metro NYC media elites and marketeers to shove their PC racism and power plays where the sun doesn’t shine.

Outstanding! I am not from the south but I see no reason that their old flag which represents STATE INDEPENDENCE should be rid of...I am considering flying one up here in Maine(lower than my American flag of course) ...should get some reaction...

The first week of July is also the anniversary of a famous battle of the civil war that proved to be the turning point for the north . . . it seems to me this was perfectly appropriate.

“Make it easy on me. It is a little arrogant to think someone is going to know where Albert-Lea is located. But yes I guess I could have red the topics.”
The fact that it was in the Star (Red Star) Tribune was a giveaway for me. There’s only one Red Star Tribune and it’s in Minneapolis.

America still lives. Pics from the town I grew up in (Hanover Michigan) Some family, lots of tractors, lots of horses, classic cars and Darth Vader (I think he was representing government)

Neilsen says he flew the flag because he's fed up with political correctness and didn't realize how much trouble it would cause.
nope. he's toast. he should have stuck with commemorating the anniversary of gettysbrug. it was totally defensible.
