I like Hugh on some topics, but he has always been pretty soft on illegal immigration and corporatism- hallmarks of the GOPe. TGO was a welcome addition to my drive home.

Hewitt has stated before that his law firm represents a home builders association. Therefore he has a dog in the fight regarding cheap construction labor, easy access to home loans, the ex-im bank, and the property tax deductions.
As always, follow the money.
Hewitt is also the absolute best talk show host with regards to book reviews. I’ve heard him interview left of center authors that were very defensive at first that were just gushing about how they appreciated him really digging in and asking very good questions.
Once you know Hewitt’s blind spots, you can listen and enjoy 90% of his shows as a conservative.

I agree. He has some crazy guests, a lot from the left—Chuck Todd, Chris Cillizza, etc. He cozies up to these guys just for the sake of inclusion. He once wrote a book called “In but Not Of.” He constantly mocks and denigrates his producer Duane Patterson, a cancer survivor, just to be “funny.” It's not funny and Hugh doesn't get it. He once remarked on air how he gets his news, it was from Free Republic. He says he is a Christian. He also has some great guests but he is definitely an establishment RHINO. Sorry Hugh, just how I see it.
