"A “No” vote means that they want to keep their bloated government, unsustainable pension plans, and tell the banks that they will never see a penny of their money back if they loan the Greeks more."

Nobody knows what will happen, for sure, with the No vote.

Except one thing: It will give Greece a chance to start over free and clear.

Whatever happens after that is up to the Greeks.

They prefer to live in a café society and are not exactly the most industrious people in Europe. Their prospects don’t look very good.

Except one thing: It will give Greece a chance to start over free and clear.

If you default on all your debts and obligations, you get to start over free and clear? Nope. Not at all. You lose the ability to export goods, you lose the ability to import goods, you lose the ability to control inflation, you lose the ability to produce a currency that is usable outside your borders.

Greece has to import food and energy. Where do they get those? No, Greece doesn't get to start over free and clear.

If the Greeks didn't like the idea of living within their means as demanded by bankers willing to loan them money, then they will really dislike being forced to live below their means in order to eat food and use energy provided by Russia.

Greece will be used as an example of very bad decisions for centuries to come. Its people elected corrupt men who promised no end to the benefits that the country couldn't afford.

And now they pay with starvation, disease and riots.
