Many communities (including most in my area) already ban individual use of fireworks; for years, the only legal fireworks displays have been the ones put on by the communities themselves.

As for banning barbecuing, there will be some resistance, but most of the sheeple will accept it just as they have accepted all of the other infringements on personal liberty in recent years.

I dunno. Fireworks are illegal in VA and the night has been widely punctuated with them. More laws that will be ignored I reckon.
