How is the One going to stop all this smoke wafting into the US from Canada?

I wouldn’t object to fireworks being banned in neighborhoods. First of all, the smoke is so thick you can’t drive down the street. Second, it started last night and won’t stop until Sunday night...if then. And third, it scares my dogs. Every fourth we have to go spend the night in a motel in a city that doesn’t allow fireworks so my dogs won’t be shaking all night.

I know I’m lucky to have the freedom to do that. But popping fireworks continuously from dark until 2 or 3 in the morning infringes on my right to get a good night’s sleep.

Finally, I was going to spend a few days on the Mountain Fork River in the wilds of Oklahoma. I mean, this place is out in the woods. Had to cancel because I found out they allow fireworks to be popped by individuals. I’ll be damned if I’m going to pay $200 a night for some peace and quiet and have to listen to fireworks being set off by 40 year old kids.

"Besides ending Independence Day as we know it, the lower ozone limit would stall construction projects and prevent job-creating manufacturing facilities from being built in hundreds of cities across the United States"

Happy Fourth of July comrades- Keep voting Democrat.

Dictators always want to kill any reminders of freedom and liberty.

I see massive civil disobedience over this BS. Who's going to enforce the backyard BBQ thing? And fireworks on the 4th of July is as American as apple pie, the flag, babies, moms and guns. Americans aren't going to just give these things up because of some commie in the Rainbow House.

Good luck with that, Barry.

Our fair city used to have one of the finest fireworks displays that would draw people from miles around. Four or five years ago roving packs of feral “yutes” started getting their kicks by walking through the neighborhood and assaulting folks sitting in their yards enjoying the show as well as doing the same at the park where they were being set off. Police from 6 surrounding communities had to be called in. They were paid double overtime The bill wound up at around $100,000. Same thing happened the following year. As a result, no more fireworks. No reportage of the real reason by the prestitutes, the official story was that the display was canceled “to save money”. The only way I found out what I'm reporting here is that my Councilman lived two doors down from me and was not pleased with the status quo.
As far as home brew displays, all is fun ‘till some drunken yahoo starts lighting bottle rockets on his porch and almost burns his house down (along with mine).
Some of my neighbors now look forward to my afternoon Fourth of July serenade which consists of opening the doors and windows, turning the subwoofer up to 11 and cranking out the Tellarc 1812 overture with cannons. One of these days I'd like to put a subwoofer in the opening to the garage attic and turn the whole garage into a BIG subwoofer cabinet. There are plenty of live digital recording of pro displays & as long as it's before 10:00PM I think I can get away with it, provided the shock waves don' break too many windows. Next step, video projection of fireworks. All this after I finish grilling my steak. Enjoy your Fourth my fellow Freepers, !

I think I'm going to fly the Betsy Ross from one porch post, the Confederate stars and bars from the other, and invite all my gun-totin' neighbors over for the biggest CHARCOAL BBQ this county's ever seen. Let's see Barkey's ecoNiazis come try to bust that party up. FUBO!

Snickering, sneering, holier-than-thou, self-appointed-genius
Progressives have done their best to do that, both in public office and as voters.

(They’re going to reap what they sow as a natural consequence of what they’re up to.)

IMHO

One thing tyrants have found is that if you make laws impossible to follow, the people simply will not follow them. Then, unless you have a massive political punishment system in place, like the GULAG, you can expect eventual disdain for all laws and an overturning of your tyranny.
