McDonald’s has really slipped.
Anecdotal evidence is that McDonald’s just doesn’t have the customer service or food quality of the past. Not that they ever had great food quality but you kniew what to expect at McDonald’s years ago. Not so much today.
Ain’t that the truth! My buddy and I usually go into McDonald’s for breakfast on Friday mornings, as the store is very close to my workplace; the service is horrible, food is so-so, restaurant is dirty!
FYI, this summer, several McDonald’s in the NE area are going to be selling lobster rolls, at about $8...<P
anyone who would eat that, let alone pay for it..is insane
I beg to differ. I've just returned from a 2000+ mile road trip, and we ate at McDonalds all the way. We chose McD's for 3 reason: 1) dependable bathrooms 2) a calorie counter and choices that fit my diet and 3) I had a lot of coupons which basically gave us 2 for 1 meals everywhere. Of course my choices were limited with their coupons, but they are a very good value. Look at your receipt the next time you are in McD's. If you go one line and anser a simple questionnaire, they will give you a registration number which will allow you to turn in your receiipt on your next visit for a choice of 2 egg mcmuffins for the price of one (approx. $3.37 with tax) or 2 quarter pouders with chees for the price of one, (approx. $4). You can always ask them to leave the cheese and/or the mayo off of the quarter pounder, if you are watching your calories. I got home in good shape and lost more weight than I do on my regular diet with its overly expensive and complicated food. Some of the places we dined were simply spectacular. Some were not so great. But, I had a chance to register my rating and opinion on all. It gave me a chance to study their calory counter menus and to discover other choices that were also not harmful to my diet. Their little side salad is much improved over what it was several years ago. Their grilled chicken Asian salad is yummy and filling. 230 calories. Never get crispy chicken if you are watching your weight -- doubles the calory count.
