I have a feeling a lot of these couples are rushing to get married just for the activism and symbolic impact, and not because they really want to get married (let alone remain monogamous).

After the novelty wears off, the divorce lawyers will step in.

If you have the governor of the state preside, then it is obviously a political statement, not a covenant.

Now gays have the option of getting “married” if they want or they can remain just cohabituating if they want to. They have the best of both worlds after smashing our heritiage to pieces. They can marry if they want but if they see that there are too many hassles, they can decide not to marry after all.
