By overlaying their profile photos with a rainbow filter, Facebook users began celebrating in a way we haven't seen since March 2013, when 3 million people changed their profile images to a red equals signthe logo of the Human Rights Campaignas a way to support marriage equality. This time, Facebook provided a simple way to turn profile photos rainbow-colored. More than one million people changed their profile in the first few hours, according to the Facebook spokesperson William Nevius, and the number continues to grow.

I do fear how symbols or lack of could be used as an identifying mark to justify persecution in the near future.
Anyway, for facebookers, I feel for you because like everything else going on there are these groups of people that are destroying American cultural icons. (Like my church)

After Obama was elected I did some ‘ethnic cleansing’ on FB. Anyone who said yay, or gloated one single bit over his reelection I just deleted. I didn’t say a word. I just deleted them. Funny thing is since I did that not one single friend or relative that was left posted a rainbow overlay. Guess I did good. Lol

My husband and I downloaded a man/woman symbol (pink Venus/blue Mars intertwined) and made that our profile pic. Several people have copied it too.
