Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Abe Lincoln himself, who when asked by the conductor of a military band what song he wished to hear after the surrender of the Confederacy was "Dixie".

If he can be that magnanimous after a war lasting 5 years, we should be able to accept a symbol of their pride.

This is a wonderful example of the core difference between Obama and most other historical politicians. They would be magnanimous in victory. Obama, however, rubs it in our faces.

If Obama was asked the same question, he'd ask the band to compose a piece and title it "We Northerners Are Better Than You, You Are All Incest-Committing Backwoods Hicks, Ha Ha Ha You Lost"
