Ted Cruz isn’t wrong on immigration and he isn’t wrong on trade...you are.

Immigration - Cruz is for securing the border and stopping illegals from continuing to violate our National Security.

Trade - Cruz is for free trade and supports the principles of a Trade Promotion Authority that allows trade deals to get done (as evidenced in the last 80 years that without a TPA trade deals are impossible to get done). This belief is contingent upon the fact that the Executive isn’t going to have the ability to abuse the process and that crony-capitalism is absent from any consideration. When those assumptions can no longer be made, he will not support it.

All of you concern trolls sound the same way no matter how hard you try to cover it up. Usually starts out: HB1 Visas, blah, blah, blah, trade blah blah blah.

1st - Ted Cruz is not an isolationist/protectionist on free trade. People are hiding their true opposition to these bills by jumping onto the clearly problematic issues (the corruption, cronyism, etc), but truth be told if Cruz were President and the GOP controlled both houses of Congress, if TPA came up for a vote and was a “clean” authorization, there are many here that would still oppose it because they are protectionist in nature.

2nd - Enough with the HB1 Visa crap. Everytime I hear this garbage I get the sense some people here have an animosity towards anyone who isn’t an American...illegal or otherwise. I’ll tell you what. After this past week of disastrous Supreme Court rulings, if Ted Cruz can find via HB1 Visas some workers that want to embrace the American way of life and are able to understand the US Constitution and its principles/ideals better than the 5-6 jokes that sit on the US Supreme Court, then I say the more the merrier. Hell, we can’t even find enough “conservatives” to run for Congress and have to settle for moderates/RINOs. Get me some Eastern Europeans and other persecuted peoples on as many HB1 Visas you can find and if these folks understand what true liberty and freedom is, let them run for Congress so at least we have some resemblance of a conservative majority when the Republican Party is the supposed party in power.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. I have lived with results of NAFTA and have seen the devaststion of families on both sides of the border by it. The surge of uneducated opportunists illegally crossing border are a result of that.

A 500% increase in H1bs is a slap in the face to American workers and I know first hand how the companies abuse them.

No. No. No.

I’m glad you know everything that’s in the Trade Bill. From what we’ve heard from reputable sources, it’s a snake pit and a surrender of sovereignty.

People are right to be very concerned about it. There is no desire here to bring down conservative candidates, nor are there any trolls and sleeper cells that make a difference.

Is he for H1B visas? Seriously, that’s news to me, and a possible deal breaker. One of the most anti-middle class programs ever conceived.
