So few are paying attention. Life still seems “normal” to a lot of Americans. Most that I have met over the last few years are totally oblivious to the crashed job market and the real unemployment. Especially if they’ve been retired for about 10 years or more and living on SS and/or savings, or on the same job for the last 7 years or more. Most I’ve talked to in those situations think it’s a lot like 2005 where you could just walk out and make these things happen easily. I have learned it is not, the hard way. It’s the normalcy bias. Oh sure, they see the news, pay more for milk and meat, gas is down, etc. And are spoon-fed by the MSM day in, day out, morning, noon and night.
Eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, building, planting ... it will all seem normal.
And then....
The temperature of the water in the pot keeps increasing bit-by-bit, and they don’t even realize they are beginning to boil.
