"We live in a republic and must abide by the law."
Cruz’s response:
"You know what’s striking…how many of the presidential candidates today issued statements on the marriage decision that basically said that ‘the court has spoken, the issue is over, it’s time to move on’. They sounded like Barack Obama.
It was heartbreaking, and I have to say, I look at some of these folks and I think, for once, could you grow a backbone!?"

I have to say I like what I’m hearing from Cruz. Did I hear correctly that he changed his vote to nay at the last minute on Trade Promotion Authority? Has he explained his reasoning on that?

If you think Cruz hasn’t done anything, you aren’t paying close enough attention. He proposed an Amendment to protect traditional marriage a while ago.
He takes a stand in the Senate all the time. That is why he is the only candidate with a 100% Conservative rating.
He got legislation passed as a freshman Senator with Harry Reid presiding over the Senate. He has fought and won before the Supreme Court to protect the 2nd Amendment. He has won cases before the Supreme Court against the U.N., Obama, and the World Court to protect our sovereignty.
There is no other Senator who fights harder for Conservatives than Ted Cruz. You say he only uses “words. Words that have faith behind them are powerful. After all, the Creator spoke everything into existence that He created.

Yes. There was back door dealing going on between the Dems and Boehner and McConnell. They were promising an extension for the Ex-IM Bank, another corporate welfare bailout. Plus the Bill coming back to the Senate from the House was a Bill weakened by Dem amendments.
I fully expected the change in his vote and started doing searches 3 days before he announced his decision. He was right to do so.
