So is he going to get married now ...
Marriage is neither a privilege nor a right. It is the definition of the committed union of one man and one woman with the blessing and support of God and their community for the purpose of creating and raising a family into the next generation of functional adults. Only the nuclear family unit can provide a perfect model (man and woman, husband and wife, father and mother) to be repeated through natural reproduction in perpetuity. No other relationship can fulfill this role.

Same sex unions may be formed, but they are inherently infertile and, unlike traditional marriage, serve no fundamental purpose to society and thus are strictly private affairs. Calling same sex unions marriage is like putting a bonnet on a bowl movement and calling it baby. Doing so is dishonest, dystopian word-salad, straight out of the evil, dark fantasy worlds of "1984" and "Animal Farm."

Same sex union are fundamentally inferior to marriage and all people, regardless of their sexual leanings, have an equal opportunity to seek out a marriage partner of the opposite sex, thus the mistouted equal protection aspect of the 14th amendment does not any way, shape or form apply.

From the author’s own recollection to the 1990s, he never wanted to be married. His was an alternative lifestyle CHOICE.

For years now (since Lawrence v. Texas) they’ve demanded the ability to get married. They bashed down the institution of marriage, attacked the church, attacked photographers and coordinators who didn’t want to participate in their ceremony, etc. and now they shrug and say “not for me”.

He joked that he’d check with his lawyer to see in they were common law married. doesn’t sound like he was concerned to go out of state and ‘make it happen’.

This was all about ‘in your face’ and not the love lorn desires of a minority subset (those who want to get married) out of a minority subset (2% of the population).

I like the points you have put forth and intend to incorporate some of them into my description and defense of Marriage.
